Giving Back to the Community
Passionate Realtor®, Active Community Member & Proud Mother
My daughter, Samantha Mills, and I volunteered to build a home in Ensenada, Mexico, for a family less fortunate. We decided what a better time to "pay it forward" than on Thanksgiving weekend. It was truly humbling to build a basic home from start to finish in one weekend. Handing the family the keys to their new home was one of the most rewarding experiences we have ever had. To say that this experience has given me a new apreciation for the Real Estate we have in Vancouver is an understatement.
We were very fortunate this past Canadian Thanksgiving weekend to take part on our 16th trip (with special thanks to Laura Andrews) to the Mexican Baja town of Ensenada, where our team built a home for a needy family.
Thank you so much to the families of volunteers, several coming multiple times and others for their 1st time.
Every time we go we feel grateful for what we have in Canada and also grateful for getting to know and understand the beautiful people of Mexico.
